Meet Young Hahn
Hello! I'm Young Hahn, a visual artist living in Morristown, NJ. I moved to the United States from South Korea back in 1976 and spent my high school years in Reading, PA. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, and I enjoyed a fulfilling 40-year career as an IT Enterprise Architect and Management positions at major corporations. But painting and drawing have always been my true passions! From a young age, I've loved expressing myself through art, and I’m continually learning and growing by taking professional art classes and experimenting with various subjects that inspire me. I find myself particularly drawn to the beauty and challenges of watercolor painting—there's something magical about its fluidity and transparency.
I also adore the richness of acrylic and oil paints, especially when it comes to texture, color, and composition. Many of my artworks are inspired by the beauty of nature and the world around us. I aim to capture the essence of my subjects, often adopting a semi-impressionistic style or expressive abstraction while ensuring a harmonious balance in composition, color, volume, and shape.
